Pilot controlled lighting

Runway solar lighting can be pilot controlled in three different ways: manually (switching controls), using Air-Band Radio, or via a mobile phone (a pilot dials a phone number that remotely launches the entire system. For enhanced security, the system recognizes authorized phone numbers only).

A person responsible for controlling the entire lighting system (the operator) can control the lights in real time. One way to do this is to use a computer or send a technical SMS (as a response, the operator will receive an SMS with a short technical report). In case the battery level goes below 20% or one of the lights stops working, the operator receives an automatic alarm SMS. Thanks to that, one can quickly prevent potentially dangerous situations caused by lighting system malfunctions. An additional asset of solar lighting systems is a USB and LAN modules, which allow for remote problem diagnosis.
